Static IP Vs Dynamic IP

IP stands for Internet Protocol. This is a numeric day assigned teams through a computer network for Internet protocol for communication between teams. There are two main functions of an IP address. The task first and most important is to identify the host or the network interface. It also allows you to find the addresses, while access to the Internet. The function of the IP address can be defined as, "A name indicates what we seek. An address indicates where it is. One way to show you how. "
First, the designer of TCP / IP number of 32 bits used to define an IP address. But with the enormous growth of the Internet, there was a need for a new addressing system. Then the new 128-bit addressing is in force. IP addresses and other information are stored in binary format, but readable shown in the notation.
Now there are two ways in which IP addresses are assigned. They are called static IP and dynamic IP. Simply put, if a specific IP address of a computer, the static IP address is assigned. During each time the computer connects to the Internet, a new address automatically on your computer, such as dynamic IP address assigned to know. The question of static IP, dynamic IP address, what is the best and how they differ from each other, apart from the fundamental difference.
For the static IP address. Dynamic IP Address
Provide the differences between static and dynamic IP-IP, we will understand the characteristics of each, to understand that it's easier for us, the static IP address or dynamic IP debate better.
Static IP address An IP address is static IP address, change over time if you change manually. Often used in large networks to determine the position permanently. An example might be any web server. If you go to www.google.com, which was actually based on the IP address 72.14.221.104. However, if the IP address was changed suddenly, then you may be able to go to Google if you know the new IP address or until Google updates its own DNS records. You can learn more about setting up static IP addresses.
Dynamic IP Address In addition, a dynamic IP address change every time the computer connects to the network. A dynamic IP address is often used, is not a static IP address is a necessity. The best known example is the IP address to a computer that is assigned when you are connected to the Internet via the Internet. To surf the Internet, it is imperative that the computer has an IP address. So if you connect to the Internet, ISP is an IP address, but if you disconnect, you lose the IP. The next time you connect, your device is assigned a new IP address. Learn how to find the IP address.
Static IP Vs. Dynamic IP Now that you understand the dynamic and static IP address and we will see what other differences.
Task: first difference between static and dynamic IP-IP is the method of distribution. Static IP is assigned manually by an administrator. The exact method of allocation depends on the platform. On the other hand, a dynamic interface IP of the host computer or software is assigned. Often, DHCP servers are used for dynamic IP addresses.
Use vs. dynamic IP. Static IP: Dynamic IP is a common feature on computers that are part of a LAN or broadband Internet. With dynamic IP reduces the administrative burden for allocating static addresses for each device on the network. In most current systems operating office, the IP address by default uses dynamic IP, so the user need not manually enter any premises if a DHCP server is connected. Apart from one point to DHCP to assign IP can also be used.
The use of dynamic IP static IP: There are situations in infrastructure, where it is absolutely necessary to use static addressing. A situation in this state a need to translate the search for domain names host names to IP addresses. Static addresses are easy to locate servers within a particular company. Remember that a static IP address obtained from the DNS server also comes with an expiration date after which he asked whether the IP has changed or is not. The other possibility is that the static IP can be changed by the network administration. You can see the renewal of the IP address.
Now you see static IP, dynamic IP addresses, you must decide whether to go to a static IP address or a dynamic IP address. If your computer is a standalone device, you must think if we really need a static IP address for your Internet connection, because it has a price. ISP usually give dynamic IP. If you want a static IP address, the service has to wonder.

  1. Good article. It was very simple to understand the differences between Static IP and Dynamic IP. An Ip can be checked whether it is static or Dynamic by having an IP lookup at www.IP-Details.Com before and after resetting the modem. If the IP changes, It is dynamic. If it doesn't change it is static.
